Fellow divers, you know it: passion shouldn't have technological barriers. Keeping your dive logbook, your certifications, your gear sizes, and your dive history in one place should be simple, smooth, and accessible.

Div'In was born from a strong conviction: technology should serve passion, not over-monetize it. So we're building exactly that — a mobile app for divers, and a web app with Pro tools for the dive centers that join us.

  • The Div'In mobile app gives divers: a digital logbook, a certification wallet (PADI, SSI, CMAS, NAUI, RAID, BSAC and more), a personal dive profile (gear sizes, preferences, statistics), and a community space.
  • The web app, with Pro features for dive centers: operational workflow and complete back-office tools.

Our promise: Div'In's core access will remain FREE for every diver. No intrusive ads, no personal data sales, no favoritism between certification agencies.

Why Div'In?

The idea came from a frustration we shared everywhere we dove: dive center check-in is a boring moment. Filling out the same forms, pulling out the same certification cards, re-entering the same information at every center, in every country. For divers and centers alike, it's a waste of time and energy that dampens the morning's excitement.

Our conviction: centralizing diver data — regardless of certification agency — is a win for everyone. We believe in the global community of divers, the people who care about reefs around the planet, and who deserve a neutral, simple, and respectful tool.

And once your profile is set up, finding partner centers around the world becomes effortless. Your full diver profile travels with you, so checking in anywhere takes just a few taps instead of a stack of forms. Share your certifications, paperwork and gear needs with a partner center in a single tap.

Behind Div'In, two passionate Swiss divers — both PADI Divemasters certified in 2024 during their Marine Ecology internship at the Institute for Marine Research in Dauin (Philippines).

Gary Perrenoud

Technical Lead & Product Vision

Physics laboratory technician with over 15 years of experience in cutting-edge scientific environments (CERN, EPFL). Tech, mechanics, custom tool development, underwater photography — he brings the technical rigor and product vision.

Sandrine Bugnon

Operations & Management

Graduate of the Geneva Hospitality School (top of her class, best thesis award) with 10+ years of experience in hospitality and restaurant management. HR, finance, operations, training — she brings management rigor and understands precisely what customer-facing operational businesses (like dive centers) actually need.

But above all, we are two passionate divers. Together, we've explored the underwater worlds of the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Egypt and many more.

🚀 From early access to global launch

Good news: Div'In already exists in early form. The diver app and the Pro tools for centers are well underway. We recently traveled to Mexico to meet several interested dive centers, and discussions are also advancing in the Philippines.

The mobile app is not yet on the App Store or Google Play — public launch is planned for September 2026, after the intensive development sprint funded by this campaign. But backers don't have to wait: see the Div'In Beta Program below.

Why this campaign now?

The app works, but transitioning from a few internal tests to a stable, comprehensive v1.0 requires intensive development work:

  • Finalize the development currently underway.
  • Accelerate testing with diverse users worldwide. The more the app is tested, the faster it improves.
  • Quickly fix bugs identified in real conditions.
  • Develop the Pro features requested by dive centers.
  • Secure and industrialize the app to handle real-world use at scale.

What you back is the creation of version 1.0 of the Div'In app — a finished, finite software product, delivered to backers as a tool you'll have lifetime access to.

Yes! Our first partner dive centers are finalizing their setup. We recently traveled to Mexico to meet several interested centers, and several advanced discussions are underway in the Philippines. Real-world beta testing has started.

The app will be publicly available on App Store and Google Play in September 2026. As a backer of this campaign, you get exclusive beta access starting in July 2026 through our dedicated test centers — months before the public launch.

As a backer, you'll have access to our dedicated test centers (configured for the beta) where you can explore all features (profile, logbook, booking, community) and help us identify improvements, wherever you are in the world. Your feedback is valuable and will be considered.

Once you've contributed at the Premium Founder tier or above, you'll receive an email in July 2026 with beta access instructions. Your Founder badge and Founders' Wall listing will be activated as soon as you create your account in the app. For Premium features developed by September 2026, activation will happen automatically in your profile when they're available.

Yes, the essentials will always remain free. The profile, search, and booking with our partner centers will remain 100% free. Some advanced features — such as the automatic logbook, certain community options, or future features — may be offered via a paid Premium option. Our economic model relies primarily on the commission applied to centers for actual bookings, not on divers.

Your Founder access is guaranteed for 5 years minimum from the official launch (September 2026), or as long as the current team (Gary and Sandrine) is in charge — whichever is longer. This commitment is contractual.

Never. No data sales to third parties, no intrusive targeted advertising. You retain full control over the visibility of your profile and logbook, and can export or delete your data at any time. We apply European standards (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

Currently, French, English, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean are available. We will add other languages in the future.

Once a campaign succeeds, contributions are generally non-refundable, but exceptional cases can be discussed directly with us. If the goal is not reached, all contributions are automatically refunded.

Yes! Provide their email at the time of contribution or contact us afterward. It's a great gift for a passionate diver.

Generally not, as it's a contribution with rewards rather than a donation in the tax sense. Consult your local tax authority for your specific situation.
